What does self-love mean?

A lot is said about self-love and self-care these days, which will mean different things to different people.

But at its core, it is about being kind to yourself and being patient with yourself.

It is about being that person to yourself, in each moment, that you want other people to be to you.

A listener, encourager, supporter and cheerleader. A sounding board, friend, somebody who likes you.

And when your inner voice starts to remind you of what might go wrong, be that person to yourself who reminds you that things always find a way of working themselves out.

That you are worthy and have enough of what is needed to get you through life’s struggles. That you are absolutely loveable and that there is nothing wrong with you.

And by spending more time thinking about what can go RIGHT rather than focusing on what might go wrong, you will start to FEEL better and live more of a life based on hope and optimism.
